Why the company exists
Onketing was started to offer serious online marketing to small and
mid-size companies that had no in-house marketing knowledge and no
realistic way of buying it. At the time the choice was between
agencies priced for enterprises and freelancers who disappeared
halfway through a project. We wanted to be the option in between:
every project treated with the same care, and priced so that a
business without a marketing department could still afford it.
That is why we work with a limited number of clients. It is not a
sales tactic — it is the consequence of having one senior strategist
review every piece of work before it goes out. Growing the client list
past that point would mean dropping the review, and the review is the
product.
How the team is organised
Strategy and execution are deliberately held apart. One senior
strategist plans each engagement, agrees the objectives with you, and
keeps checking the work against them. Specialists in each discipline —
search, paid media, social, content and link acquisition, analytics —
carry it out.
The practical effect is that you deal directly with the person who
planned your campaign rather than an account manager relaying
messages, and that the specialists working on your account are people
who do that one thing all day.
What we believe
- Clients are partners. Our growth depends entirely on whether your business grows, so we treat the two as the same problem.
- Judge us on the bottom line. Not on rankings, not on impressions, not on traffic — on the return the work generates.
- Quality is checked, not asserted. Every deliverable passes a review stage before it reaches you.
- No packages. Industries work differently. A plan built for one business rarely transfers to another, and selling it as though it does only makes the agency's job easier.
Where we have worked
Clients across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia,
Hungary and India. Projects have ranged from an e-commerce catalogue
of more than 50,000 products down to a home-based business selling
two, across health and supplements, legal, financial, e-commerce and
retail, interior design, entertainment, travel and non-profit.
On occasion we have worked free of charge for start-ups worth helping.
